Thanks Roger - I’m not on the boat for a few days, which is why I have not yet responded to the helpful suggestions for gravity solutions. I suspect the original install included the added complication of a pump because the ac unit is about as far as it can be from either shower sump, and close...

Settee also makes it easier to communicate with/hear what’s going on in the cockpit. On our boat anyway.

In fact, do you know whether it is possible to change boat and keep your place on the list - assuming the same size. Our 10 years will take us into the sort of territory where we are uncertain we will be able to keep sailing, so a timely switch to a stylish old motorboat might be in order.

Oh no! TBH if I were in your position and it were possible I would buy any old boat to keep the spot, so much do I love Vannes. We are newish on the list and expect to have to wait 10yrs + 😒

One of our old Webasto Bluecool aircon units has a problem with the little pump that auto- empties the stainless condensate tray to a through hull. Original stopped working, yard in Portugal replaced with some nasty little plastic thing that whirs but does not prime, so all the condensate ends...

Does anyone know what the car parking situation is in Algarve marinas, particularly Lagos and Ayamonte (I know that’s technically not Algarve)? Fed up of this weather so going to move boat down that way. Plan is to fly down for 3 month summer cruise then drive down for 3 months winter sunshine...
