Hi Shipmates,

Looking at a Med bareboat charter for late summer but curious if there are any charter companies with smaller sailboats available.
Most craft at the smaller end of things are around the 34ft but wondering if any companies have circa 28-30ft craft available.

Will only be two of us, so short handed without need for additional cabins etc.

Any advice appreciated!

Sailing holidays used to have some smaller boats 27 ft I think, adadpted for a couple. May still have them
They used to use the Jag 27, they upgraded some of them to include showers etc, but i think they have sold them all now, the smallest they have starts at 32ft, seems a shame because the Jag 27 was ok for a couple.

I just did a quick search on late sail and there were some 27ft available. stick your place and dates in and set the filters to max length. link

My 28ft Cobra was owned by Neilson until 2012, having served with them (as Falcon holidays) since 1979. I think her last seasons were as a crew flotilla lead boat.

It’s a shame they’ve all gone to jumbo size boats now - the Med charter industry was built on Jaguars, Snapdragons and Cobras.

Yes, and of course Rod Heikell was involved quite early on: see https://www.facebook.com/...
The "CPT" he mentions was Crawford Perry Travel, with whom I sailed in some years of the late 1970s and 1980, as recorded in: www.mjcoon.plus.com/page38.htm
