First Nordhavn 51 YouTube

The owners of the first Nordhavn 51 share their experiences in these YouTube videos. The latest episodes are interesting as they include the handover, maiden trip and the problems. The first episodes are a bit long winded and some are not about boating at all.
Nordhavn list some of the issues that occurred on the first trip on their website (good on them). However it looks like there is plenty of fine-tuning still to do on the N51.

I’ve watched most of his videos. Overall a nice looking boat but I was very surprised at the issues not being rectified prior to handover. The guy does seem comfortable though.

Yep I would not be surprised if there is an agreement about promotional activities since this is the first hull. But I agree that there are some issues that should have been addressed before handover; the stabilisers and also noise levels seem to be high. In the video I found the cockpit and saloon smaller than I had expected for the size. But the pilothouse surely takes up a lot of space. Overall it could be a good seller for Nordhavn.

I’ve seen some videos from the Dr Nordhavn guy and he seems to be a wealth of knowledge on them. I suspect having someone like him consult on a build would be money well spent!
