    Update

Home now, they managed to get a stent in my pancreas which if it does what it should do is a game changer, others have tried & failed so he is my hero. Not wanting to operate because of Covig19 & until they know it has worked as it will save having to operate in the upper area and leaves the...

    Absolute poor service

As some of you know, I had an Absolute 41 which had a teak swim platform problem, still under warranty, which they flatly refused to honour despite the efforts of Trevor (UK dealer from whom I bought the boat) & many others. Fortunately I decided to extend the platform & so had the teak replaced...

    Happy Xmas all

Wishing everyone a happy Xmas, hope you have a good one. For us it will be quiet with a motivation visit to the boat now she is finished, something to spur me on if I end up struggling again in intensive care after a planned op in Jan. I will post results if I can, if you see a stabilised Abs 47...

    Dean & Reddyhoff marinas

AS most of you know I have been ill this year & unable to take up our berth at East Cowes. I am in Addenbrookes now where they have just done a liver biopsy to help decide how much surgery I can take, transplant or attempt another repair. The marina operator named above have, under these extreme...

    Synthetic Teak

Is there such a thing as synthetic teak that is close to the real thing in appearance. I have seen some very poor examples but I think there was one that looked good at port hamble the other day, or was it real ? Is there a better brand that doesn't look like a poor imitation.

    Sea trial seakeeper & Dockmate.

We took our Absolute 47 primarily to test the Seakeeper & Dockmate for IPS. Boat is still in bits so had to dig out & reassemble some cushions so the girls could sit down, rocking the boat while they sat on fibreglass wouldn't have gone well. The Seakeeper is superb at standstill & low speeds...

Best place to keep a 59ft sports cruiser near Cambridge

I may be going into Addenbrookes for major surgery soon, after which they may want to keep me local for a while. Thought it might be nice to spend some time on board in preference to hospital provided accommodation or a hotel. Should be 50ft, or 47 to be precise.

    Home Soon

Having spent the last two weeks in Addenbrookes having every test going I'm back home soon on Intravenous feed & eating for a few months to recover from previous surgery (Particularly liver & pancreas) & put on some muscle in order to come back in for very major surgery "to put me back together"...

    Another Air con question

The new boat has Climma air con, main unit in engine room, air handlers in each cabin. My question, do air handlers drain condensate or is it just the main unit ?
