I've been using the same "Current Track " all season on my e7. At the moment, I'm at 5845 points and 751nm. Hopefully it will last another couple of weeks which will likely be the end of my season.

Sorry for delay in replying. I've been sailing and don't view the forum using mobile data as it seems to eat data.
Anyway, I bought my replacement from Cactus Navigation and Communication.
Can't seem to insert the link.

I bought a replacement wind transducer and the rigger fitted it on Tuesday and system now working normally.
One of the pins showed signs of verdigris so maybe that was the fault. I'll try to do some tests on the old unit at a later date.
The new transducer came with a mounting shell because...
Did you carry out any voltage checks? I wish that I had done more tests with wires removed from display.
I've assumed that 8v is sent up red wire and powers the transducer and any voltage on other colours is coming from the transducer so faulty pins would drop voltage rather than cause voltage...
My 2013 Raymarine i60 Wind Instrument has suddenly stopped working correctly. It was fine before leaving the berth but had stopped working by the time we needed to raise mainsail. It didn't work all afternoon. I did try splitting the plug and socket at deck level and spraying with WD 40.
Did...
I'm no expert, which is why I asked the original question.
There is a fair amount of work involved, removal of gearbox, flywheel cover, flywheel, and the housing behind the flywheel to access the oil seal.
It would be sensible to renew the 2 orange O rings at the same time - one around the...
Would you happen to know the dimensions of the crankshaft O ring ?
The O ring would be supplied as part of a big overall kit, but might need to source it on it's own from an alternative.
Thanks
Ash
Thanks again.
The oil leak was more than a dribble. I'm told that there wasn't any sign of oil inside the casing beside the flywheel.
There was no mention of an O ring, but mention was made of a recess in the block and the thought that something was missing.
My initial thought was that the oil...
Volvo Penta 2003, shaft drive.
The oil ( lip ) seal for the aft end of the crankshaft is set in the flywheel cover / casing rather than the block.
But
What prevents oil leaking from the face between the block and the casing?
I don't think that there is a gasket.
Also , what stops oil leaking...
I decided to use one of the mounting bolts for the heat exchanger as the termination of the earth wire.
My "logic" is that might have removed when dismantling the cylinder head.
Today's lesson, take quality photos before dismantling.

Thanks for help so far.
I've made some further checks.
I've found that the bottom stud on the starter solenoid goes to 12 volts when engaging the starter. This is what I expected, but had doubts in case it was an isolated unit which needed +ve and -ve wiring.
If I make a temporary connection...
Hi, looking for help.
I'm helping to refit a friend's Volvo Penta 2003 back into his Westerly.
Mostly sorted, but I'm left with a cable from the alternator which I don't know where to terminate. It's the relatively heavy cable which comes from the terminal which is closest to the block. I...
