I have decided to change my leaking injection pump for one I know is good from a doner engine. In the book it says the gasket or shim is responsible for the fuel timing.
Would a different pump require re timing or can I use the old shim?

I have a leak from this. I have been told to take the injection pump out and replace the rubber seals on each of the outlets.
I can't find anything online on how to do this, has anyone carried out repairs on this?
I would appreciate any pointers.

Hi I have just discovered my 'new' engine doesn't have a sump plug. The only way to get the old oil out is suck it out. I have the pump and some plastic pipe. My question is does the suction pipe go inside the dipstick pipe or over the outside Thanks.
Hi my ten year old CP180 is functioning fine, only thing playing up is the log. It just stopped logging the miles, it might log 2 miles for every 12 sailed. I have tried to re set it but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?
I have used this in the past and it is very good, but at nearly 30 quid a pop it's a bit expensive,and I need 3 tubes for my boat, possibly 4. Are there cheaper alternatives that actually work? I don't want to use oxalic acid.

My Perkins M30 runs fine, but every now and then it changes tone for a few seconds, the revs don't drop but it just sounds like they do then it sounds normal again. I have changed the filters and made sure there is no air getting in, also it's clean fuel

It does this. I think the new mounts might be too soft. Any recommendations. I can't remember what it did with the old mounts. The new ones are 45 shore as recommended by parts for engines
I took ours off and it's clogged up with hard black deposits. I don't want to damage the elbow by chiseling it out.
Can it be soaked in something to make the deposit softer?
