Hopefully getting back into boating but need some radar advice

We plan to bring the boat back to the Uk from the med by sea potentially so want it for that. We plan to cruise a lot and while 95% of the time radar is not needed, I think it is essential for the 5%. Given how we plan to use it. I’m not talking going out in the rough but we will use it 12...

We are currently in the process of negotiating the purchase of a new to us boat, currently working on 2, one a Sealine t46 and the other a t47. Both have v out of date nav screens which we will replace with some g series kit we have. My question is, trying to keep costs down for this season...

    Radar compatibility question

Sorry for the daft question. I am in the process of costing up an offer on a used boat. The nav kit needs replacing but I already have a whole load of ray marine g series kit, the only thing I don’t have is the radome. Question is, will the existing non digital, RD2182KW radome work wi

Argh so my plans to buy a boat in Corsica to bring it back to the south coast will cost me 20% on top when it gets to the UK? If so I need to change my plans :-(

Thanks z1ppy and Doug. not looking at new, budget and scottishness will not stretch to that! :0) aiming at 2004 onwards ish I think, we are both fairly mechanically minded so happier with a well looked after older boat that a newer one that's been ignored/neglected. We have spotted a...

Went to see it today and not that impressed, seemed a bit fragile although it was in immaculate cosmetic condition. Hull moulding looked iffy etc. more searching to do !!

Long long time since I've posted on here so apologies for first return post being a request for advice. For various reasons we sold our Sealine F33 last year but as suspected we can't cope with not having a boat! Long term we will buy another cruising boat but as a stop gap we are looking at...
