Hi all, welcome to the new year.

I am not far off launching my boat and besides the survey needed by all insurances companies now, never needed one before and always had boat well over 25 years old. I see moorings have gone up. More on inland waters as with CRT and will be rising by 25% in next three years. This i am sure is due to the GOV stopping funding to the charity.

Have any other folk seen moorings going higher at a steep rate?
If so why is it at such a rate?

us poor folk are being pushed out :( haha

If you were getting subsidised fees then you were lucky & should not complain if that does not continue. It really depends on what you have been paying in the past. If you have been paying miserably low subsidised fees before, then one does not have sympathy. However, if you have already been paying for a mooring with limited facilities & high set up cost & annual fee already, it is a different situation. You need to provide more info.
Our own mooring area, on the river Blackwater, has not increased the fee, except against a reduced 50% fee, given one year during covid, to reflect the limited access during lockdown.
