Hi,
I am looking for crew for a passage race to cherbourg leaving early saturday morning 27 May probably returning overnight on Sunday 28 May to be back early on the bank holiday monday. The early start means staying on the boat Friday night at Warsash, or joining at 2am, but means we will be there for dinner saturday night. As a passage race the emphasis is on safety, fun and socialising, not too much siting on the rails!
We may be able to help with oilies and life jackets and will provide food for the crossing, just bring youself and enough Euros for entertainment ashore.
The boat is a Beneteau First 32 with a good pedigree round the cans and offshore, sailed by myself and my wife and we welcome couples or singles of any experience level. If you are working towards qualifications you can even skipper the boat back, I will welcome the break!
Whilst I hope to do well, the emphasis is on fun so if you fancy a gentle introduction to racing, or are experienced and can help me do well, contact me.
To see our recent results visit SWSA and click on the sailing link then cruiser then results and veiw the results for race 1 and 2 in the Bert Drought summer series.
If you can't make the coming weekend, we will be looking for crew for further passage races during the summer so contact me with your availability.
Best Regards,
Martin
