I will be leaving from Gosport headed for Brighton
So its bound to blow an easterly and I would like to have the tide with me

Apologies if you're a regular user of the Looe, but watch out for pots, I was amazed to see so many laid in a narrow and well marked channel.

I went through the Looe channel yesterday on the way from Brighton to Hamble (excellent sail, close fetch and sunshine all the way.)
I don't have my tidal atlas with me, but I believe the current will change from east going to west going around mid afternoon during the next couple of days.
I passed Street buoy at about 12:30 yesterday. At that time it was still flowing strongly eastbound.
