This might depend on where you live and boat ! In my neck of the woods the river banks are literally lined with "boatyards" full of ancient long abandoned projects , the canvas tarpaulins long ripped to shreds by weather. Some are motorboats with big holes where the outdrives once were Right...

So all you GARMIN worshippers...a little problem. Friend has a Garmin chartplotter 4012 with a problem, it suddenly stopped displaying charts, just produces a indistinct fuzzy background map. Receives GPS signals and card chart works in other chartplotter(s) and software updates no use...

Card tried in different 4012 works perfectly. It is receiving GPS signals. Did have look in the menu at various bits and pieces but nothing leaps out..... Have tried undating software and factory reset. Found a Garmin repair outfit and going to pop it in the post. Garmin Repair - Express UK...
